As I ventured over to John Harrell's site looking at all the different Indiana high school basketball schedules for the upcoming season I found something interesting.
I saw that Indianapolis Tech with 2014 commit Trey Lyles is scheduled to take on fellow 2014 commit James Blackmon Jr. on February 4th at 8 p.m. at Lawrence Central High School.
Looking at Indianapolis Cathedral's schedule, it says the Irish are scheduled to take on Lawrence Central the same day with the site and time TBA. These two teams don't normally meet in the regular season and would be a match up of 2012 commit Jeremy Hollowell and 2013 commit Colin Hartman. This would be a sectional rematch from last March where LC defeated Cathedral in overtime.
Lastly, Indianapolis Broad Ripple has a game listed for the same day with the opponent to be determined at the 'IU Showcase.'
I remember over the summer hearing talk about something like this and it sounds like it has come together with the venue being Lawrence Central which is located on the northeast side of Indianapolis just off 56th street and 465.
Of course all of this will probably take a backseat to IU fans with Tom Crean's Hoosiers traveling north to take on Purdue on Saturday, February 4th.
