IU falls to Navy, 31-30
ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The close losses for IU's football team continue to pile up. Saturday afternoon's game in Annapolis, Md.
IU swimming and diving begins season with wins
The Indiana University men's swimming and diving team started off the 2012-13 season with wins over Kentucky (196-104) and Tennessee (183-117), while the IU women's swimming and diving team kicked off the season topping Kentucky, 189-111, but falling 66 points short of Tennessee (183-117) in a double dual meet at the Lancaster Aquatic Center in Lexington, Ky. For the men's team, 1-2 finishes in the 1,000-yard freestyle, 200 freestyle, 200 backstroke, and the 500 freestyle contributed in distancing IU from Kentucky and Tennessee.

Hoosiers allow first B1G goals in loss to Michigan
The Hoosiers conceded their first two goals in Big Ten play tonight in a 2-1 loss to the Michigan Wolverines. The Wolverines, winning their first away game, took it to Indiana following an opening goal in minute 27 from freshman Femi Hollinger-Janzen.
IU Swimmers and Divers to Compete Against Two SEC Teams Friday
With the Hoosiers coming off of off-season training, returning several individuals boasting various accolades achieved throughout the summer and gaining a large and talented freshman class, prospects are high as the IU men and women's swimming and diving teams head into their first regular season meet. Both teams will open their seasons on Friday in Lexington, Ky., in a dual meet against two Southeastern Conference teams, Kentucky and Tennessee. After the loss of Brittany Strumbel, Allysa Vavra, Margaux Farrell and Laura Ryan, four leading scorers on the women's side, the Hoosiers will be looking to the incoming freshman class to step up immediately. Freshmen Brooklyn Snodgrass and Haley Lipps will be making their collegiate debuts in the dual meet.
Hoosiers on TOUR
Three former Hoosiers are playing at this weekends PGA TOUR event at the Seaside Course in Sea Island, Ga in a field of 132 professional golfers. TOUR veterans Steve Wheatcroft (1998-2001) and Jeff Overton (2002-2005) are joined by TOUR rookie Chase Wright (2008-2012) at the McGladrey Classic. This is Wright's TOUR debut while Wheatcroft is making his 77 showing and Overton has 189 events under his belt. Wright sits in a tie for 26th place at 3-under-par and just five strokes behind the leaders, as he filed a bogey-free scorecard.
Replogle named a finalist for Senior CLASS Award
Thursday afternoon, IU defensive tackle Adam Replogle was named one of 10 finalists for the Senior CLASS Award, an honor given annually to the nation's most well-rounded collegiate senior student-athlete. A 6-foot-3-inch, 294-pound lineman from Centreville, Ohio, Replogle has played in 42 games as a Hoosier and has started 41 of them.

In case you haven't heard, former IU Coach Bob Knight is in the process of selling away his national championship rings and gold medal from the Los Angeles Olympic Committee, among other trinkets as a part of the "Knight Collection" through Steiner Sports.The items were added to the Steiner Sports auction site today and will continue to be bid on until Dec.
Wright gets shot at PGA event
Chase Wright, 2012 IU graduate, fired a 7-under-par 67 on Monday during an open qualifier round at Brunswick Country Club in Brunswick, Ga.
Kenney, Latham near IU commitment
Following decommitments over the last 36 hours from two longtime IU targets that were committed to other Big Ten schools, it appears the Hoosiers are set to land two of its most significant football recruits in recent history. Four-star defensive line prospects David Kenney and Darius Latham, once committed to Iowa and Wisconsin respectively, are set to pull the trigger to their home-state school of Indiana. Bob Knight to sell NCAA title rings, gold medal
After leading the IU men's basketball team to three national titles in 1976, 1981 and 1987 as well as coaching the USA team who won Olympic gold in 1984, former IU Coach Bob Knight has decided to sell off several pieces of hardware to help raise money for his grandkids' college funds. Items in the "Bob Knight Collection" will include Knight's championship rings, his gold medal given to him by the Los Angeles Olympic Committee, a sport coat and warmup jacket given to him during the 1984 Olympic Games and an assortment of ties, jackets, trophies, hunting knives and military keepsakes. Knight has two grandsons, and his wife also has a niece and nephew who the former IU Coach hoped "would get good use out of this," Knight said to the Associated Press. The auction will begin later this week and will last until Dec.
