Midway through IU's game tonight against Ohio State, the Hoosiers are within striking range against the No. 8 team in the country.

Despite a slow offensive start for IU, the Hoosiers were able to battle back, however trail the Buckeyes 24-14 at halftime.

After two straight IU three-and-outs allowed OSU to take a 10-0 lead in the first quarter, junior running back Stephen Houston broke through for the Hoosiers on a 59-yard touchdown run.

The second-year running back, Houston has been the stronghold of the IU offense thus far, compiling 77 rushing yards with two touchdowns. Sophomore quarterback Cam Coffman has thrown 22 passes for 10 completions however for only 77 yards on the game.

After IU took a 14-10 lead, a blocked touchdown punt return and a 60-yard touchdown pass for Ohio State gave the Buckeyes the 24-14 edge. In the Hoosiers' final three possessions of the half, two of them ended in three-and-outs.

IU won the coin toss before tonight's game and deferred to the second half. The Hoosiers will receive the kickoff at the resumption of play.
