Chase Wright, 2012 IU graduate, fired a 7-under-par 67 on Monday during an open qualifier round at Brunswick Country Club in Brunswick, Ga. to earn a spot in the McGladrey Classic.
Wright will compete against some notable players during his first PGA TOUR event at Seaside Course in Sea Island Ga. The field includes Vijay Singh, John Daly and Jim Furyk as well as fellow Hoosier Jeff Overton.
The tournament gets underway on Thursday, Oct. 18 with the final round on Sunday the 21st.
