With three shutouts in the team's final three games en route to a national title, the IU men's soccer team relied on defensive success to capture its "eighth star."
When the IU men's soccer team faced Georgetown in the finals of the College Cup Dec. 9, they had to face more than just the players on the field, fans said, as Hoosier came from around the country to turn Hoover, Ala. into "Bill Armstrong South."
Growing up with the program would have been a dream for many young soccer fans in the state of Indiana. IU Coach Todd Yeagley lived that dream. As soccer took its first steps in a basketball state, so too did the soccer program in Bloomington.
