Senderoff to Resign?

According to Fox Sports, IU assistant coach Rob Senderoff will resign tomorrow at a press conference. We are currently trying to contact different sources within the athletic department and the university to confirm these details.

six wins may not be enough

It has been well documented that six is the number of wins a team needs to become bowl eligible. What hasn't been discussed as often is the fact that six wins isn't a guarantee for a bowl game. The Big Ten has seven guaranteed spots in bowl games.

Update 11:52 CDT: Kelvin Sampson would not talk about the violations or the punishments. Here is the transcript from a brief exchange with reporters: Q: Coach Senderoff was not at the public scrimmage on Friday, is there anything to that? A: "No, I'm not answering none of those questions.

CBS releases broadcast schedule

CBS released its college basketball broadcast schedule for the year. The network could air IU as many as eight times (including the Big Ten Tournament) throughout the year. From the release: "Despite the diverse selection of teams, traditional basketball powerhouses will continue to take the spotlight.

Some notes from practice

Kelvin Sampson and crew opened up a practice for fans to watch today and here are some observations: Assistant coach Rob Senderoff, the man cited for making most of the impermissible phone calls on Sampson's staff, was absent.

Wisconsin pre-game thoughts

Talking to IU coach Bill Lynch, he said the reason why the Hoosiers have lost to the Badgers in years past is due to Wisconsin's success with the play-action pass.

ESPN rankings are out, and IU is 9th

Hey folks, I know I'm not a regular poster to this blog, but I saw this on ESPN so I thought I'd toss it up real fast. The first ESPN/USA Today poll just came out today, and IU is ninth, keeping consistent with the range of rankings they've been given this preseason.

A message from Coach Lynch

While I can only assume there are some dissapointed Hoosier fans today, at his press conference after the game IU coach Bill Lynch wanted everyone to know he wasn't dissapointed with the crowd support. "I thought the crowd was great today," Lynch said, "You could really feel them in the second half.

Live Above The Rock: Indiana 31 vs. Penn State 36 (FINAL)

Indiana 31, Penn St. 36 FINAL Kellen Lewis has fumbled the game away. With only forty seconds left, Lewis fumbled for the third time this afternoon, turning the ball over to Penn State and handing them the victory. A disappointing finish for one of the most exciting games I've witnessed at Memorial Stadium.
