CBS released its college basketball broadcast schedule for the year. The network could air IU as many as eight times (including the Big Ten Tournament) throughout the year.

From the release:

"Despite the diverse selection of teams, traditional basketball powerhouses will continue to take the spotlight. Kentucky and Ohio State get the most men's games on the air during the regular season with seven; Michigan and Indiana will have six games apiece broadcast; Duke will have four; and defending champion Florida will have three."

Weird. I guess, personally, I've never considered Ohio State a "traditional basketball powerhouse." I guess that's what one national championship from the 1960s and being the second most important sport on campus will buy you. Maybe Gregg Doyel wrote that line.
