Classless Cheer?
I've heard some people complain that the cheer "Jor-dan's Bet-ter" directed to UK's Joe Crawford was over the line and classless.

IU 70 - Kentucky 51: Postgame Quotes
IU coach Kelvin Sampson Sampson said Bassett is suspended for breaking a team rule. He is not sure how many games Bassett will miss.

Gordon in warm ups, but not warming up
IU freshman Eric Gordon is wearing an IU warm up top and the candy-striped pants over his No. 23 jersey, but he is not warming up with the rest of this team.

Bassett's Out, Gordon doubtful
Armon Bassett is wearing a shirt and tie while IU is warming up. Not sure why he is out for sure, though there are rumors on various IU message boards. We will have to ask Sampson after the game. According to CBS, IU star freshman Eric Gordon is doubtful for today's game.

Bowl Gift Packages
Evidently the Hoosiers are in line to get some sweet gifts from the folks at the Insight Bowl. Last year every player on the teams from the Insight Bowl received an Xbox 360, NCAA 2007 for Xbox, a watch, and some other toys.

Campus or City Sites?
With last year's IU - UK game at Lexington and Saturday's game at Assembly Hall, one question has been asked of players and coaches: do you prefer the games on the respected campuses or the Indy/Louisville rotation? Coach Kelvin Sampson said it didn't matter to him, but D.J.

What to wear?
The athletics department sent out an e-mail this morning, though including one glaring misspelling, reminding fans to wear white to IU's game against Kentucky. "The forcast (sic) for Saturday December 8th calls for a White Out." The Department sponsored two white outs during Mike Davis' last season -- both against top-ranked opponents and both losses.

In case you don't want to read the entire transcript of Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy's teleconference, here are some basic highlights: * He mentioned by either name or number Kellen Lewis, James Hardy, Greg Middleton, Jammie Kirlew and Nick Polk as players he was impressed with when watching the Hoosiers on film. * He said that he respected the team for overcoming the adversity of losing Terry Hoeppner in June. * He joked about his famous rant to the media, saying his media relations person felt like he was representing Brittany Spears for a few weeks. * He said his runnng back Dantrell Savage has rushed for 100 yards nine straight games.

Sources inform the IDS that x-rays on Gordon's tailbone were negative - good news for Hoosier fans.

Gordon Update
We've been told that Eric Gordon suffered a bruised tailbone in the victory tonight. Gordon did not return to action after being taken out with 5 minutes remaining in the first half. Despite the injury, IU coach Kelvin Sampson said he expects Gordon to play Saturday when the Hoosiers host rival Kentucky. Check the IDS Basketblog for updates.

IU v. Tennessee State Live Blog
FINAL SCORE IU 84 - TSU 72 IU holds on to win, but had to do so without the services of leading scorer Eric Gordon, who left in the first half with a "bruised backside". Check www.idsnews.com for updates and a wrap of tonights action. IU is beginning to pull away, up 17, but TSU just converted a three point play to cut the lead to 14 points.
