Win streak comes to an end
Hey folks, That's right, the Hoosiers' start to Big Ten play did not go as planned (I would assume), as IU lost 10-2 to Minnesota tonight in Minneapolis.

So Devin Ebanks has gotten his release from IU. Although he says he is still considering IU, he was quoted as saying that his top four are Memphis, Texas, Rutgers and West Virginia, and he plans on visiting each of those schools.
BASKETBLOG WRITER'S NOTE: We are not endorsing any candidate for president, and don't want this to become a political blog.
It can't help that two IU fan favorites won Thursday night (Sean Miller and Rick Pitino). But, Tony Bennett lost, which may allow the 10-member committee a chance to speak with him.
Hey folks, At the request of a few friends, I'll be turning up the posting here for the next few weeks.
The complete ITT results are posted on the IUSF website. Here are the men's results and here are the women's.
The IU media relations department printed out a little package detailing things for spring football 2008.
Just checked with Little 500 Race Director Matt Ewing who said all of the times earlier reported by Brian remained the same at the end of the day, except for one. Cutters freshman Eric Young took over the third place position for the day, moving last year's defending champion Sasha Land (also of Cutters), into fourth. Rounding out the top three on the women's side was Kappa Delta sophomore Jennifer Balbach . We will post the full results of ITT's when they are officially released. Any thoughts on how riders finished?
Hey everyone. Greg and I just came back from the track and wanted to give you an update of what has been going on. Sarah Rieke could not improve on her record time of last year.
Hey folks, Bottom 5th In the back and forth nature of the game, the Hoosiers did some damage of their own in their half of the fifth.
Greetings, Undertherockers. As you can tell from today's warm temperatures and Kirby's coverage below we are amidst spring football season.
Hey folks, As that unfortunate picture to the right of these words suggests, I will be writing on this blog for the duration of Little 500 season (which is far too short, only two and a half weeks til the race). First let me introduce myself - I'm Zach Osterman.
ITTs are tomorrow starting at 4 p.m. at Bill Armstrong Stadium. Here is a link to the ITT heats courtesy of the IUSF website. Do you think Sarah Rieke and Sasha Land will repeat as ITT champions?
A couple of random observations from the first day of practice at IU: * The Hoosiers are going no huddle.
With all due respect to the amazing bikers participating in Little 500 April 11th and 12th - The end of IU basketball unoficially kicked off the start of IU football. Spring football offically gets underway tomorrow as the Hoosiers take the practice field as a team for the first time since they were preparing for the Insight Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. The biggest issue regarding IU is quarterback. Kellen Lewis is still suspended, which means all eyes will be (for the moment) on Ben Chappell.
Hey folks, Below is a press release from IU Athletics, naming Whitney Thomas and Jori Davis offseason and summer workout team captains.
The official qualification times are up on the IU Student Foundation website. This will tell you starting positions for all 33 teams for both the Women's race on April 11 and the Men's on April 12. Individual Time Trials are on Wednesday...what rider do you think will take the top spot?
Hey folks, Just checked the scoreboard, and one Big Ten team is already out of the NCAA Tournament. Iowa battled hard against the University of Georgia, leading for most of the game before the (hated by me) Pups took them down late. Conversely, Purdue stayed hot, beating Utah 66-59 - not too shabby considering the Utes went 27-5 this season overall and 16-0 in the Mountain West. Minnesota, the conference's third at-large team in the dance, is currently losing to Texas.
In response to one of our loyal readers, I talked to IU coach Tracy Smith about next year's recruiting class. So far, IU has signed five to national letters of intent. Alex Dickerson,1B/OF, L/L; 6'3'' 195-lbs. Dickerson plays ball in So.
Who do you hire? I want people to pick one coach and give a paragraph explaining your choice. One condition, you can't pick Bob Knight.
