Hey everyone. Greg and I just came back from the track and wanted to give you an update of what has been going on.

Sarah Rieke could not improve on her record time of last year. She turned in a time of 2:36.82, down from her 2:34.27 time of last year. While her time was impressive it actually was a bit behind Kristi Hewitt of Wing It who went two heats before Rieke. Hewitt turned in a time of 2:36.63 to spoil Rieke's repeat bid and grab the first place position.

Black Key Bulls rider Isaac Neff sits in first place on the men's side with a time of 2:19.75, while defending champion Sasha Land of Cutters is in third with a time of 2:23.09. Neff and Land rode in the same heat, but Phi Delta Theta rider Nick Sovinski snuck into second place a few heats before them with a time of 2:22.49.

I'd be surprised if anyone betters the top times, but we'll keep you posted. In the meantime, what are your thoughts? Does Hewitt's performance come as a surprise? How about Neff's time or Sovinski's second place showing?

Note: All times are still unofficial.
