A day after tallying six shots - a team high - in the 3-0 win against Michigan, senior midfielder Brad Ring was named a semifinalist for the Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy. Ring was one of only 15 players named and the second from the Big Ten.
Loveland High School (Ohio) star Bobby Capobianco had the cast removed from his foot last month, but he's still not ready to bump and grind on the court yet. Capobianco recently told The Cincinnati Enquirer he would miss two games, but earlier today The Enquirer reported that his high school coach said he could miss up to four games.

Proving deserving yet again of their No. 6 seed, the Hoosiers shut-out the No. 11 Wolverines 3-0 on Saturday. In the final home match of the season, IU knocked off Michigan with a triple threat of sophomore forward Andy Adlard and senior midfielders Brad Ring and John Mellencamp. Notching his seventh goal of the season, Adlard began the avalanche with a blast in the top left in the 34th minute.

So this is weird. It appears Notre Dame All-American forward Luke Harangody came down with pneumonia, of all things, while in Maui. According to this ESPN article, Harangody began feeling in his team's Maui Invitational first-round win over Texas.

Sorry this post comes late but I am still bogged down from my Thanksgiving meal. Incoming IU Athletics Director Fred Glass has been reported as announcing he will honor IU coach Bill Lynch's contract and keep the coach for another year. Much discourse had been made from fans as to whether Lynch should be back in Bloomington next year or not.
