IU defeats Georgetown 12-4, earns first win of season

After a lackluster start to their season Friday, the Hoosiers rebounded with a dominant 12-4 victory over the Georgetown Hoyas. Junior pitcher Eric Arnett had an impressive six innings, giving up only four hits and striking out a career-high eight batters.

Hoosiers fall in season opener, 14-4

For a team looking to compete for a conference championship, this was not the start IU had hoped. The Hoosiers fell to the West Virginia Mountaineers 14-4 in the opening game of the Big Ten/Big East Challenge. IU junior ace Matt Bashore was roughed up early, giving up eight hits and six runs in the first three innings.

Final thoughts from Evanston

Well its been a good trip to Evanston and i will be departing shortly. The basketball game last night showed that the Hoosiers, beat Northwestern 85-67, can play at various different levels.

If the second half of Thursday night's game left you frustrated, you're not alone. Rarely raising his voice above a whisper, Crean was visibly displeased with his team's performance in his brief four-minute press conference. No Hoosiers on 2009 McDonald's All-American squads

At 6:00 p.m. on ESPNU, the McDonald's All-American Game rosters were revealed. Despite hopes that Christian Watford, Maurice Creek, Derek Elston or Jordan Hulls might be selected, there will be no future Hoosiers for IU fans to watch on April 1.
