Shades Valley High School (Ala.) fell tonight, 53-50, ending Christian Watford's bid for a state title in his senior season. He missed a potential game-tying three pointer with six seconds left on the clock. The IU signee scored 17 points.
Back in the Hoosier State, Bloomington South easily defeated Perry Meridian, 91-46. The Panthers, ranked fifth in the nation, improve to 18-0 and will play No. 4 Detroit Country Day (18-0) at 4:30 p.m. (see below post). Jordan Hulls finished with 14 points, though it sounds as if the starters got plenty of rest.
