Cyclists plan 160-mile trek across Ind.

Beginning at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College outside Terre Haute, bicyclists from around the country will cycle to Richmond, Ind., in the Ride Across Indiana beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, July 21.

Indiana junior tight end Ted Bolser has been named to the 2012 John Mackey Award Preseason Watch List for the second straight season, the Nassau County Sports Commission announced Tuesday morning.

On Thursday at the City Hall Council Chambers, Bloomington sponsored an intimate performance given by Azhar and his quartet, who played the flute, electric guitar and tabla — a pair of small drums used in Indian music — with Azhar singing and playing the acoustic guitar.

Man arrested for placing homemade bomb inside vehicle

A Bloomfield resident was arrested Saturday after allegedly severing the break lines of an ex-girlfriend’s truck, planting a homemade bomb device beneath the hood of the truck and leaving a threatening note on the windshield in February.
