Four Indiana football players were named Tuesday to the preseason Associated Press All-America Team. In total, 15 Big Ten players were selected, with Oregon and the Hoosiers each having a conference-high four members.
Redshirt senior offensive lineman Carter Smith was selected to the first-team offense. Last season, Smith started all 16 games at left tackle, was a consensus All-American and became the first Hoosier to win Big Ten Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Junior linebacker Rolijah Hardy was named to the first-team defense. Last season, the Lakeland, Florida, native started all 16 games, posting 102 tackles, 15 tackles for loss and eight sacks.
Junior wide receiver Charlie Becker was chosen to the second-team offense. Becker appeared in all 16 games, making his first career start Oct. 25, 2025, against UCLA. The 6-foot-4, 207-pound wide receiver finished the season with 34 receptions and 679 receiving yards.
Redshirt senior defensive lineman Tyrique Tucker was picked to the second-team defense. After tallying 12 tackles for loss and six sacks last season, the Norfolk, Virginia, native earned AP third-team All-America honors.
Indiana kicks off its season against the University of North Texas at noon Sept. 5 inside Merchants Bank Field at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington.
