Women's golf exits postseason after finishing 18th

The team had said since the start of the season that it wanted to get to Athens, Ga. and compete for a national championship. That didn’t pan out, as the team finished 18th in the NCAA Central Regional Saturday in Norman, Okla. with a final tally of 911 over 54 holes at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.

Drouin, Bayer defend Big Ten titles

The IU men’s track and field team finished seventh while the women finished ninth following the weekend action in the Big Ten Outdoor Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

Hoosiers eye advance in NCAA tournament

After failing to make the NCAA Tournament in 2011 and 2012, the Hoosiers are back with a berth in the NCAA Central Region in Norman, Okla., with the goal of ending up in Athens, Ga., for a shot at the National Championship.

IU faces rematch with Vanderbilt

The Hoosiers’ season, which IU Coach Lin Loring described as a “roller coaster,” culminates in a trip to Clemson, S.C. to face No. 19 Vanderbilt (15-11, 7-6) Friday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. Indiana earned an at-large bid on April 30 when the NCAA Championship bracket was announced.

Track travels to Big Ten Championships

With all of the marks and times established during the regular season, the IU track and field teams head to Columbus, Ohio Friday for the three-day Big Ten Outdoor Championships.

Baseball heads home for final time

The IU baseball team (36-9, 13-5  in the Big Ten as of Wednesday afternoon) will play in front of a home crowd for the final time this season when it welcomes Northwestern to Bloomington for a three-game set starting at 6:05 p.m. Friday at Bart Kaufman Field.

Softball team drops three to Minnesota

Indiana suffered two walk-off losses to Minnesota to finish the season. The team was swept in the final regular season series of the season, finishing the year on a 14-game losing streak.

Baseball win streak snapped at 9 games

It was too little, too late for the IU baseball team Sunday, as the Hoosiers’ late rally came up short and could not make up for early mistakes in a 3-2 loss to Nebraska at Hawks Field at Haymarket Park.

Drouin garners more end of season awards

·

Drouin was named the Oustanding Male Individual Event Athlete of the 2013 Penn Relay Carnival. He is the second Hoosier to win the award. Robert Cannon won it in 1978 after winning the triple jump.
