The spicy aromas of curry and ginger filled Indiana Memorial Union’s Alumni Hall on Thursday night, welcoming in nearly 800 students, faculty and community members to the first IU World’s Fare. Attendees were ushered into the hall, wielding tickets and cups provided to them by the sponsors. The Union Board Diversity Performance Committee, in collaboration with the Office of International Services and Office of the Vice President for International Affairs, also passed out cookbooks featuring the available cuisine at the fair, in addition to other dishes that were not prepared.

Hoosiers look to fix recent road struggles

After getting the bowl eligibility monkey off its back, IU now looks to fix its recent road struggles at 12 p.m. Saturday in Evanston, Ill., when the team battles Northwestern.

IU volleyball set to face Iowa, Minnesota at home

This weekend, the IU volleyball team (14-12, 5-9) will stay in Bloomington to face Minnesota (13-11, 6-8) and Iowa (9-16, 1-13). Minnesota, a club ranked as high as No. 11 earlier in the season, has lost eight of its last nine conference matches. The Hawkeyes are sitting at the bottom of the conference and have dropped their last 10 matches.
