The Bloomington City Council approved an ordinance Wednesday to issue $6.5 million in revenue bonds to purchase the Bloomington SportsPlex, despite citizen concerns about the economy and closing of a community center.

RSO Fashion Show brings glam to Alumni Hall

Click click, click, flash is what models like to hear and see as they rip the runway.  Corsets, skinny jeans, leggings, sheer tops, balloon dresses, big handbags, stiletto shoes,  gladiator sandals and lace-inspired garments were the prominent fashions featured in “Viva La Glam,” the Retail Studies Organization’s (RSO) annual fashion show.

Tornado watch in effect until 7 p.m. tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for the Bloomington area until 7 p.m. tonight. Monroe is among 10 other counties in southern Indiana under the tornado watch.

North Korea launches missile

SEOUL, South Korea — North Korea defiantly carried out a provocative rocket launch Sunday that the U.S., Japan and other nations suspect was a cover for a test of its long-range missile technology.




Riders cross the starting line during practice Thursday afternoon at the Bill Armstrong Stadium. Miss-N-Outs begin Saturday at noon at the Bill Armstrong Stadium.
