Toy drive seeks to increase local cultural interaction

The Black Graduate Student Association and Hudson and Holland Scholars Program hope to increase cultural interaction among Bloomington children with the 2012 Diversity Toy Drive, which began Dec. 7 and will continue through Dec. 17.

Suspense built over chicken fingers and French fries as about 15 children from the Lincoln Street Boys and Girls Club finished their dinners, the only things between them and a pile of Christmas presents in the Alpha Tau Omega living room.

Growing up with the program would have been a dream for many young soccer fans in the state of Indiana. IU Coach Todd Yeagley lived that dream. As soccer took its first steps in a basketball state, so too did the soccer program in Bloomington.
