With Indiana football set to begin its fall camp in the coming days, defensive lineman Triston Abram entered the NCAA transfer portal, he announced Wednesday in an X post. Abram will have four years of collegiate eligibility remaining.
Abram redshirted his freshman and lone season with the Hoosiers in 2025. The 6-foot-3, 228-pound defensive lineman was a consensus three-star prospect in the 2025 class and was tabbed a top-20 recruit in Missouri by ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports.
“While I had many choices with where I would play football at the collegiate level, Indiana was my final choice, and that’s a decision that I’ll never regret,” Abram wrote in a statement on X. “Indiana allowed me to experience a wonderful college town. It was in Indiana that I met so many supporters and fans. Those of which I will never forget.”
Prior to his departure, Abram did not project for significant playing time along the Hoosiers’ defensive front. Indiana graduated Mikail Kamara, Stephen Daley and Kellan Wyatt following the 2025 season. But the Hoosiers reloaded the unit with the additions of Joshua Burnham, Chiddi Obiazor, Tobi Osunsanmi and Joe Hjelle through the transfer portal.
