BPD looking into liquor store robbery

The Bloomington Police Department is currently investigating the Saturday night robbery of Karton King Liquor and Discount Tobacco, 435 S. Walnut St. The events began when two suspects, a man and a woman, entered the liquor store and began wandering around, according to police reports.

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Senate passed a two-year, $24 billion state budget Monday that Democrats said does not provide enough money for education. The budget, which was approved 29-21, would give schools a 1.2 percent increase in funding in 2006 and a 1.3 percent increase in 2007.
