On Sunday morning, 30-year-old Bloomington resident Ryan T. Rene was headed southbound in the 1600 block of Rogers St. when his car slid 100 feet and split a telephone pole in half, said Bloomington Police Department Lt. David Drake.
On Sunday, Bloomington Police arrived at an apartment at the 3100 block of E. Stratum Way. There, a female dialed 911 claiming that her boyfriend, 20-year-old Bloomington resident Tyler Stephen Strother, threatened to kill her with two knives.

I know I am not the only person losing a friend to the allure of exotic places and interesting people. We are in college; classmates study abroad all the time.
