iUnity challenges Elections Commission’s control of polling locations

iUnity’s attempt to reserve several high-traffic polling locations during the upcoming IU Student Association election was disputed at an IUSA Supreme Court hearing Wednesday night. The Court heard arguments and will allow evidence to be submitted until 5 p.m. today. A decision will be reached tonight on whether or not to impose an injunction.

It was Senior Night at Mackey Arena on Wednesday, and Tom Crean’s Hoosiers essentially served as a prop in Purdue’s festivities. The Purdue fans bid their farewells to seniors Chris Kramer, Keaton Grant and some guy named Mark Wahlford. The Hoosiers, meanwhile, said hello to their second consecutive 20-loss season in the 74-55 defeat.

IU geneticist receives $50,000 award

Matthew Hahn, an IU geneticist, was elected as a 2010 fellow of the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. He will receive a $50,000 award over the course of two years. Hahn has been an assistant professor of biology and informatics at IU-Bloomington since 2005.

A ballerina’s tale in two acts
