MovieFest to screen films

Participants in the 11th annual Campus MovieFest have been given a week to create a film no longer than five minutes.

Civilians may travel to space as soon as 2014

In 2014, normal civilians will be able to take trips into space due to changes in the U.S. National Space Policy and changes in NASA’s research goals. According to a report from Reuters, commercial space travel is expected to become a billion-dollar industry by the end of the decade.

Police resistance bill passes

Senate Enrolled Act 1, which was passed March 20, states that a person is justified in using reasonable force against a public servant if the person believes force is necessary to protect themselves or others from unlawful force, prevent or terminate unlawful entry into a home or prevent a public servant’s criminal interference with property lawfully in the person’s possession.
