Hollowell decides to take talents to IU

Lawrence Central (Indianapolis) junior Jeremy Hollowell, the No. 39 overall player according to Rivals.com, decided Thursday afternoon at his high school that he wanted to become a Hoosier. 


2010 Quals

Little 500 Quals to kick off race season Saturday

Qualifications, the first spring series event of the Little 500 season, will take place Saturday at Bill Armstrong Stadium. On the men’s side, 46 teams will try to qualify for 33 spots. On the women’s side, 32 teams will attempt to qualify.

Erdy leads squad into Border Olympics

The No. 28-ranked IU squad, according to the latest Golfweek-Sagarin rankings, will compete in a 19-team field, including No. 18 Arkansas, No. 26 Oklahoma, No. 32 Liberty and No. 37 North Texas, according to the March 20 Golfweek rankings.

Lawrence Central junior Jeremy Hollowell, the No. 39 recruit in the 2012 class by Rivals.com, announced today he will attend IU.

Coach Jack to return next season

Following IU coach Felisha Legette-Jack’s worst record in Bloomington, Athletic Director Fred Glass said the five-year coach will return next season. Jack’s current contract is good through June 30, 2013.

Leininger throws 7 scoreless in win

When the IU baseball team’s bus pulled into the Ball State’s Ball Diamond parking lot 25 minutes prior to the first pitch Wednesday afternoon, IU coach Tracy Smith made sure any excuse for a lack of preparation would be left on the bus. Unfortunately for Ball State (2-17), junior pitcher Drew Leininger did not stay on that bus.

IU sweeps Butler in dramatic fashion

The IU softball team swept a double header Tuesday from Butler University at the IU Softball Field behind 31 strikeouts from senior pitcher Morgan Melloh.

Erdy leads squad to 4th place finish in Tucson

After a monthlong tournament layoff, the No. 30 IU men’s golf team traveled to Tucson, Ariz., to play in the National Invitational Tournament at the Omni Tucson National Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday in an attempt to extend its three stroke-play tournament winning streak.
