After 5 years, Delta Chi returns to IU

Hauling his belongings more than 2,000 miles from Calabasas, Calif., freshman Paul Testa didn’t know if he would find his place in the Midwest. But with the help of the University’s newly re-founded Delta Chi fraternity, Testa had no problem fitting in at IU.

'Once' again

Through the strums of a broken-down acoustic guitar and chords from a baby-grand piano, the independently released feature "Once" took forth the opportunity to distance itself from the stereotypical musical film.

Cedric Yarbrough was dressed in a pimp costume with Arsenio Hall and Brian Mcknight on the set of the blaxploitation parody "Black Dynamite" when he came to a realization: "When you look at my life, it's pretty damn ridiculous," Yarbrough said.

State traffic fatalities down in 2007

Indiana is one of 27 states showing a decrease in traffic fatalities since 2005. Law enforcement officials say this decrease is because of increased seat belt usage, safer-made automobiles and increased traffic enforcement.

INDIANAPOLIS – A new report ranked Indiana among just 10 states where teacher salaries were equal to or higher than pay for comparable jobs and gave the state higher overall marks in education than the national average.
