Indiana volleyball finished out the non-conference portion of its schedule this weekend in Miami at the 305 Challenge. The Hoosiers played in their final invitational of the season facing the University of Miami, Stetson University, Jacksonville University and Florida International University in two straight doubleheaders.

Miami, Florida might be home to Mr. 305 himself, Pitbull, but for the weekend of Sept. 15 and 16, Indiana volleyball will be invading the 305 area code. In the final weekend of the Hoosiers’ non-conference schedule, the Hoosiers will play in the five-team 305 Challenge.

Indiana volleyball returns from the Stacheville Invitational in Clarksville, Tennessee with three victories, sweeping their opponents in nine straight sets. The host Austin Peay State University, Lindenwood University and Valparaiso University were the teams Indiana faced over the weekend.

Indiana volleyball traveled to the Walter Pyramid, home of Long Beach State University. Walter Pyramid is one of only four pyramid-shaped structures in all the United States, and the only one to be a collegiate sports venue. The Hoosiers participated in a four-school invitational featuring the host Long Beach State, the University of California Los Angeles and the University of Washington.

From the Golden State to the Hoosier State, sophomore opposite hitter Avry Tatum found her path to Indiana volleyball. Tatum, a Solana Beach, California native, played her first year of collegiate volleyball a few hours from Bloomington at the University of Cincinnati.

Indiana volleyball went 3-0 on the weekend beating the University of New Hampshire, University of Southern Indiana and Radford University. The Hoosiers finished their opening weekend undefeated for the third time under head coach Steve Aird, winning in nice straight sets. A mix of veterans and newcomers found the floor in Wilkinson Hall debuting the 2023 team.

The arrival of the 2023 collegiate volleyball season and Indiana Hoosiers volleyball is here. The Hoosiers begin their season hosting three universities for the annual Indiana Invitational. Indiana will welcome the University of New Hampshire, the University of Southern Indiana and Radford University.

Although it was a rainy and gloomy day on April 21, it did not stop the competition at the Robert C. Haugh Track and Field complex in Bloomington. Indiana track and field hosted its first outdoor meet of the season, featuring athletes from 14 universities, including Big Ten schools Michigan State and Purdue.

Indiana track and field split the weekend, sending one heptathlon athlete and ten distance runners to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California. The rest of the athletes headed to the Louisville Invitational in Kentucky.

Indiana track and field split the weekend as the throwers traveled to Triton Track and Field Stadium in San Diego, California, and the rest of the team traveled to the Tom Black Track in Knoxville, Tennessee. The teams looked to continue their hot starts to the outdoor season.

Indiana track and field traveled to the sunshine state this weekend to compete in the Pepsi Florida Relays hosted by the University of Florida. Field athletes in the pole vault, jumps, and throwing events made their outdoor season debuts in Gainesville, Florida and for the first time this season, the Hoosiers will have had a full squad at a relay.

The Hoosiers opened the outdoor season at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina hosted by NC State University this past weekend. Both men’s and women’s teams are represented by track events only, as the field teams open their season in the upcoming weeks.

Indiana track and field competed in the Big Ten Championships over the weekend. The men’s team placed fourth and the women’s fifth after a competitive two-day stretch. The indoor championships held in Geneva, Ohio, was the last for Indiana head coach Ron Helmer. Helmer has won four indoor titles and the program overall has 24 titles.

Indiana track and field finished its regular season at the University of Notre Dame. The Hoosiers were represented by the men’s and women’s distance medley relay teams and runners in the mile and 800-meter races. The meet was headlined by the men’s distance medley relay team, comprised of sophomore Camden Marshall, seniors Micah Camble and Parker Raymond and graduate student Jake Gerbhardt. The team broke the program record of 9 minutes, 22.78 seconds that was set last season, running the race in 9:22.16. They finished seventh in the race, but their time is the 10th fastest in the nation, putting them in a place to make the NCAA championships.

The Indiana track and field team split up its weekend in both Chicago at the Windy City Invite and at its final home meet of the indoor season at the Hoosier Hills Invitational. The Hoosiers look to finish strong, as the Big Ten championships are right around the corner.

Indiana indoor track and field finished out its homestand hosting the Indiana Relays on Friday, Jan. 27. Athletes from schools across the country competed in a mix of long-distance, field events and dashes on the first day of the meet.

Indiana track and field held its annual Gladstein Invitational, an indoor meet on Friday. Nine schools and unattached athletes competed in a multitude of track and field events. Friday’s events included long-distance runs, hurdles and an indoor-only weight throw event.
