... or don't go to the IU basketball games either of those nights. Chances are, if you have a professor new to IU, they'll be there.
UPDATE: Big Ten "concurs" with IU's action, will make no further response. The conference agreed with Crean's punishment, and will not take further action against Dumes.
A nod to our friends at Inside the Hall (you can reach their site from our blogroll) for spotting this first: According to the Herald-Times report from last night's Pike-Bloomington North game, Marquis Teague was suspended for "racking up too many technicals."
In a move that ought to confirm the theory that the recession is affecting ticket sales everywhere, Ohio State is slashing prices, IU style. Kudos to recruiting reporter Jordan Cohen for the find: The Buckeyes are offering a limited number of "terrace" level seats at $5 for remaining home games.

Got back from practice a little while ago, where we media types met with IU coach Tom Crean and selected players (Nick Williams and Tom Pritchard this time) before tomorrow's game.
Just when I thought I was out, they pull me right back in. Got confirmed today what I've been hearing for awhile: Ben Greenspan has officially been named the hitting coach for the IU baseball team. Below is the text of a short story I have for tomorrow's paper. Enjoy.
Got home last night and set the DVR to tape the BTN replay of the IU-Michigan game. I fired it up this morning, with some thoughts provided. We'll start with the first half, with second half thoughts after the jump, and yes, I stole this idea from Korman.
Hey folks,
In a move that should surprise few, Andrew Means has declared for the 2009 NFL Draft. Means, a redshirt junior and former U center fielder now in the Cincinnati Reds' organization, came back to IU for one more year of football.
Hit town at about 6:45 p.m. yesterday, and I was less than two minutes late for the 7:30 p.m. I'm a superhero, no need to tell me.
