Toppers Pizza, located at 212 S. Indiana Ave., permanently closed after almost three years of business, according to the store’s Facebook.
A sign posted on the storefront door also stated the location had permanently closed.
“Thanks for choosing us for all your pizza cravings,” the sign read.
The location opened April 17, 2023. The Bloomington location was one of two Indiana locations. A location in Indianapolis remains open.
Toppers is a pizza chain that operates around 70 restaurants across the country, according to its website. The restaurant was known for its late night convenience and creative menu items, including a menu sporting “Loaded Tot-zza" and cheesy “Topperstix”.
Some Reddit users expressed disappointment late last week, sharing personal connections with the restaurant, such as visiting it as a family tradition and stating it’ll be missed. Some users wondered what will replace Toppers. One user paid their respects, writing, “RIP Toppers”.
A spokesperson for Toppers did not respond by the time of publication. The Toppers website doesn’t list any information about the Bloomington location. Yelp lists the restaurant as closed.
It was not immediately clear what day the Bloomington Toppers location closed.
