"Isle of Dogs" came out a couple of weeks ago at select theaters, but it just came to Bloomington theaters last week. "Isle of Dogs" is a stop-motion film by director Wes Anderson, who has once again brought us into a world that is perfectly symmetrical visually, but that is unbalanced in the problems it is facing.

Starring James McAvoy, Emily Blunt and Johnny Depp, "Sherlock Gnomes" is the sequel to "Gnomeo and Juliet," a movie about talking garden gnomes. The plot of the sequel is based on the disappearance of multiple garden gnomes around London, and the one man (gnome?) who can solve the mystery: Sherlock Gnomes.

The comedy "Game Night," starring Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, came out Feb. 23. The movie is about a group of friends who have a weekly game night filled with everything from charades to Pictionary. One night, one of the friends puts on an elaborate murder mystery party. But when things get a little too realistic, the friends start questioning whether the unfolding events are real or just a part of the game.

The Rose Well House has been a requisite stop on Valentine’s Day for couples for years. Campus lore says couples who smooch in the Rose Well House become romantic partners for life. First built in 1908, the structure is a popular spot on campus for marriage proposals and weddings.

People of all ages crowded the streets of downtown Bloomington on a cool September evening, exploring the variety of world cultures displayed by the Lotus World Music and Arts Festival. Sept. 30 was the festival's final night, and its festivities included many concerts and a parade.

Dizgo, a three-piece jamtronica band based in Bloomington, released its first album, "State of Constant Motion,” in June. The band has performed multiple times at the Bluebird and local house parties, and fans can now listen on all available music streaming services.
