Kelvin Sampson Weekly Press Conference

Polls
Hey folks, No mention of the Hoosiers in the latest AP or ESPN/USA Today polls, though they did drop Minnesota out of the "also receiving votes" category in the AP.

Kelvin Sampson Radio Show
I went to the Kelvin Sampson radio show tonight at the Hoosier Den at Foster Quad mainly to see what Sampson would say, but also to beg some free food off from freshman with extra meal points (any freshman readers out there, you know how to contact me). Here were some highlights: Sampson said he was happy that the team was able to pull out two victories against Minnesota and Iowa.

Bracketology slots IU as a No. 3 seed

IU moves to 7th in AP poll, 8th in ESPN coaches poll
IU moved from 9th to 7th in the most recent AP poll, passing UCLA and Georgetown, who lost to USC and Pitt, respectively. IU also made the move from 10th to 8th this week in the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll.

Where will IU be ranked?
The new polls will be released Monday afternoon which is good news for Hoosier fans as the team will look to rise from its current 9/10 (AP/Coaches) ranking. Georgetown and Texas A&M both lost this week, leaving an opening for the Hoosiers to jump in the polls.

Sampson sets record in win against PSU
IU coach Kelvin Sampson set the record for most consecutive home victories to start a career at IU during IU's 81-65 victory against Penn State on Sunday.

Feeble Lions and free throws

After an impressive half-time show by the IU cheerleaders, we are ready for some second half action. 11:51 to play: IU leads 46-37 Katie Ohm hit another 3-pointer early in the 2nd half, to go 4-4 from deep, but Nikki Smith quickly answered with a 3 of her own.
