Indiana men’s basketball’s Nick Dorn plans to enter the transfer portal, according to an X post from On3’s Joe Tipton on Thursday.  Dorn spent one season with the Hoosiers after transferring to Indiana from Elon University a season ago.

After missing the first two games of the 2025-26 season with a lower body injury, the junior guard appeared in 30 games and started in 12 for the Hoosiers.

Dorn averaged 8.1 points and 2.3 rebounds in 23.2 minutes per game. The 6-foot-7, Charlotte, North Carolina, native scored in double digits on 11 occasions and had 16 games with multiple 3-pointers. Dorn scored a season high 26 points in the Hoosiers’ 98-97 victory over UCLA on Jan. 31.

Prior to transferring to Indiana, Dorn spent two seasons with Elon University. There, he was a Coastal Athletic Association All-Rookie and produced 662 points, 188 rebounds and 134 made 3-pointers through both seasons.

Dorn marks the fifth Hoosier with intents to enter the portal, joining sophomore forward Josh Harris, junior guards Jason Drake and Jasai Miles and freshman guard Aleksa Ristic.

Indiana went 18-14 overall and 9-11 in the Big Ten this season. It now has just one rotational player set to return next season — freshman forward Trent Sisley. With 11 total players slated to depart the Hoosiers, Indiana head coach Darian DeVries will be tasked with assembling a whole new team.

Indiana has not yet signed any transfers but has three incoming freshmen set to join for the 2026-27 season in guard Prince-Alexander Moody and forwards Vaughn Karvala and Trevor Manhertz. The Hoosiers’ 2026 recruiting class ranks as 22nd in the country, according to 247Sports
