Indiana men’s basketball junior guard Jason Drake plans to enter the transfer portal, his agent Brandon Grier of Equity Sports told 247Sports on Wednesday.

The Oak Park, Michigan, native transferred from Drexel University to Indiana ahead of the 2025-26 season but was sidelined for the entire season with a lower body injury he sustained in the summer.

In his lone season at Drexel, he started in all 33 games and averaged 11.1 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 26.2 minutes per game. He shot 43% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.

Before his season with Drexel, he spent one JUCO season with Butler Community College and one season with Cleveland State University.

Drake marks the first Hoosier from the 2025-26 squad to announce plans to enter the portal. However, on Tuesday, On3 reported forward Trent Sisley will return for the Hoosiers next season.

Throughout his freshman year, Sisley appeared in 30 games and averaged 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds in 13.2 minutes per game. The once 4-star and top 100 nationally ranked recruit shot 43% from the floor and 27% from beyond the arc and is the only Hoosiers announced to return.

In the 2025-26 season, the Hoosiers went 18-14 overall, 9-11 in the conference and missed the NCAA Tournament. Now, the roster rebuild begins ahead of head coach Darian DeVries’ second season at the helm.
