Indiana men’s basketball freshman guard Aleksa Ristic is entering the transfer portal, per his agent Stevan Petrovic, according to Dushawn London of 247Sports on Tuesday.
The Nis, Serbia, native only appeared in 12 games off the bench under year-one head coach Darian DeVries. Ristic missed the first seven games of the 2025-26 season with a lower body injury he sustained during practice in September.
The 6-foot-3 guard made his collegiate debut in the Hoosiers’ 73-64 loss to Minnesota on Dec. 3. Ristic finished the season averaging 0.5 points and 0.1 rebounds in 2.5 minutes per game.
Prior to joining to Hoosiers, Ristic was a three-year professional player for KK Dynamic in the Serbia KSL, the top league in Serbia. During the 2024-25 season, Ristic averaged 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds and 4.2 assists through 19 games played.
Ristic becomes the fourth Hoosier to hit the transfer portal, joining junior guards Jason Drake and Jasai Miles and sophomore forward Josh Harris.
Entering his second season as head coach, DeVries must rebuild the roster once again. Through the 2025-26 season, Indiana finished with an 18-14 overall record and missed the NCAA Tournament for the third consecutive year.
Just two rotational players are left from the 2025-26 squad. Freshman guard Trent Sisley is expected to return, while junior guard Nick Dorn has not made any announcements on next season.
