Local live music this week: ringing in the holiday season

Ease back to Bloomington from Thanksgiving break with live music opportunities this week, before the stress of finals sets in.  

Tuesday 

New York City-based DJ Smitty will play at The Bluebird, he typically plays EDM and pop music. The 21-and-up show will begin at 10 p.m., and tickets will cost $14.25.  

Wednesday 

Sixteen-year-old singer-songwriter Audrey Clampitt will play live music at Gather, a handmade gift store in Bloomington. The show costs $5 and will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. She will play her original music as part of Gather’s “Independent Music & Comedy Series,” which celebrates emerging voices.  

Indie rock band Six Foot Blonde, which got its start in Bloomington, will play at The Bluebird. Tickets for the 21-and-up show cost $14.25, and it will start at 10 p.m. The band will play songs from its 2024 album, “Ask Me How I Am.” 

Thursday 

The Buskirk-Chumley Theater will host BloominGrass 2025, a bluegrass concert featuring Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper, Cleveland's bluegrass group. Tickets for the show will cost $30-$40, depending on seats at the theater. The show will begin at 7 p.m. 

Student band Opal will play at The Bluebird starting at 10 p.m. Tickets cost $14.25, and the show will be 21 and up. Opal is a classic rock cover band which originated through Bloomington Delta Music Club. 

Friday  

Country musician Kashus Culpepper will play at The Bluebird. The 21-and-up show will start at 8 p.m., and tickets will cost $20.72. The touring artist will play some of his original singles, with his debut album releasing in January 2026.  

Saturday 

Emo cover band Jukebox Luke will play at The Bluebird for ages 21 and up. Tickets cost $14.25 and the show will start at 9 p.m. 

The Singing Hoosiers will present Holiday Chimes at the IU Auditorium. They have two shows on Saturday, one at 2 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m. with tickets costing from $22-$46 depending on seating.
