A rape and sexual battery reportedly occured Jan. 16 in Spruce Hall, according to IU Police Department crime log. It was reported to IUPD on Thursday.
The case has been classified as inactive pending further information, IUPD Deputy Chief Shannon Bunger said in an email.
This is the 11th incident of sexual assault, sexual battery or rape reported to IUPD in 2022. It is the eighth incident reported in an IU residence hall, according to the crime log.
