As of 10:27 a.m., UITS is reporting that the vendor restored service to normal. The term “Canvas” is trending on Twitter, with more than 27,000 tweets being sent about the outage, which appears to have extended outside the university.
Earlier Thursday morning, IU students were experiencing issues accessing services provided by Canvas, the university’s learning management system, according to a University Information Technology Services status update.
Canvas allows students and faculty to access course assignments, course syllabi, grades and links for synchronous online Zoom classes.
“The vendor is working to restore service to normal,” UITS said on its website.
