Professional painter Don Geyra will lead a painting demonstration at 5:30 p.m. April 5 at Flowing Colors Studio.
Participants will be walked through how to complete an oil painting by Geyra. Light snacks and drinks will be available, and Flowing Colors’ open studio will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The event will take place either outside Caveat Emptor Used Books or in the building’s atrium. It has not been announced yet. Both Flowing Colors Studio and Caveat Emptor are located at 112 N. Walnut Street.
Geyra has been exhibiting artwork since 1975 and has previously done decoration for Broadway musicals such as “Sister Act” and “Newsies,” and movies such as “The Other Guys” and “The Devil Wears Prada.” Additionally, he has helped make commercials for Coca-Cola and McDonald’s and has designed sets for “Saturday Night Live."
