WFIU classical music host George Walker will retire on July 29 after 45 years on the radio. Walker has become a fixture at the station during his tenure and interviewed several artists, from local performers to internationally renowned figures.

The USA International Harp Competition will return to Bloomington from June 28 to July 9. Contestants from 20 countries will travel to Bloomington to compete in front of a jury of distinguished international judges.

Sycamore Land Trust is a nonprofit organization that works to protect local lands and habitats. Scientists have discovered new species at the Beanblossom Bottoms Nature Preserve, a Bloomington wetland owned by Sycamore Land Trust.

IU alumnus Devin Das, who is seen on the left, recently premiered his feature film "Wes Schlagenhauf Is Dying" at the Tribeca Film Festival on June 9. Das graduated from IU in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in telecommunications with an emphasis in production and design.
