Chaplin eyes possible sixth year

While fifth-year senior center Sasha Chaplin experienced Senior Day to its fullest Sunday at Assembly Hall, she, along with IU Coach Curt Miller, hinted at the possibility that it isn't her last Senior Day. When asked what her plans for next year are, Chaplin said, "Hopefully I will be returning to you guys next year." Miller said that Chaplin is eligible to apply for another medical hardship waiver, and he plans to petition the NCAA for that sixth year of eligibility for Chaplin. "If you ask me today, we hope, with Sasha's blessing also, that we are applying for a sixth year," he said.

IU clinches share of Big Ten title

IU found itself in the odd situation Sunday of rooting for Purdue. With wins by the Boilermakers against Wisconsin and Michigan versus Michigan State, IU has now clinched at least a share of the Big Ten regular season title.

Gophers spoil senior day, beat IU 59-53

Senior day did not quite turn out as the IU women's basketball team had hoped. The Hoosiers fell to Minnesota, 59-53 Sunday afternoon in Assembly Hall. Sasha Chaplin scored a team-high 17 points on 6-of-8 shooting.

First Fast Friday sees Cutters-Beta matchup, Teter dominance

Little 500's spring race series officially started Friday night with three events in the debut of Fast Friday. Men's riders competed in a 20-lap scratch race, 20-lap points race and Miss 'N Out (MNO). Women's riders competed in a scratch race and points race. While just 21 men's riders registered, the lineup featured four riders from 12-time winner Cutters, and four returning riders from last-year's pole-sitter Beta Theta Pi.

Hoosiers fall to Hawkeyes, 75-70

The IU women's basketball team fell victim to a furious Iowa comeback, watching their 10-point halftime lead evaporate as the Hawkeyes won 75-70 in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Senior forward Aulani Sinclair scored 31 points on 12-of-22 shooting and 7-of-11 from beyond the arc.

Gaudreault and Campbell co-defensive players of the week

Freshmen goalkeepers Jessica Gaudreault and Mary Campbell of the No. 10 IU water polo team have been co-awarded the CWPA Western Division Player of the Week award. The No. 11 IU water polo team played three games this past weekend in the self-hosted Fluid Four. IU defeats DDO in first match of Fluid Four

The No. 11 IU water polo team began the Fluid Four with a bang, defeating Montreal club team Dollard Des Ormeaux 16-5 in an exhibition match. Two goals by sophomores Shelby Taylor and Rebecca Gerrity in the first minute-and-a-half put IU up quick, and the Hoosiers never looked back.

Ekeler leaves for USC

Co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach Mike Ekeler has taken a job at USC. IU Coach Kevin Wilson confirmed the move Friday night, posting a message on Twitter acknowledging the situation. "Mike Ekeler has accepted a job at Southern Cal," Wilson said in the series of tweets.
