OTTAWA -- President George W. Bush and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin sought Tuesday to mend fences after four years of strained relations between the two neighbors aggravated by the U.S.-led war on Iraq. "I made some decisions that some in Canada obviously didn't agree with," Bush said.

The events in question had to do with anarchists protesting conferences being held relating to the G8 economic summit. The protestors believe economic strategies were not good for workers and should be stopped.

Students demand ban

Two women are suing Wells College in hopes of preventing the all-female liberal arts institution from admitting male students until 2008. Freshman Lauren Searle-Lebel and sophomore Jennifer LeBarbera are seeking preliminary and permanent injuctions to stop the school from accepting male students until Wells' freshman class graduates.

Second City comes to Alumni Hall Chicago-based The Second City, one of the best-known improvisational comedy troupes in the United States, will perform at 9 p.m. tonight at the Indiana Memorial Union's Alumni Hall as part of Union Board's "Wednesday Night Live." The Second City was a starting ground for famous comedians such as Mike Myers, John Candy, Bill Murray, Tina Fey and Dan Aykroyd.

John D. Barrymore dies at age 72

LOS ANGELES -- John Drew Barrymore, the sometimes troubled heir to an acting dynasty and absent father of movie star Drew Barrymore, died Monday. He was 72. "He was a cool cat. Please smile when you think of him," Drew Barrymore said in a statement issued by her publicist's office.

When it comes to rumors concerning the IU Health Center on campus, students have probably heard them all. Allegations range from "they don't have real doctors, only nurse practitioners" to "they never really examine you, they just give you a Z-Pack (a packet of the antibiotic zithromax)." Many students who have never personally visited the IUHC hold an unsatisfactory opinion of the care that it provides.
