Artist Talia Halliday presented handmade goods at Gathering, a one-day pop-up shop that ran all day Aug. 24 at Blueline Gallery. The show featured works from 35 regional artists, as well as local food and music outside.

MCUM organized its eighth annual “Each One, Feed One” Community Food Drive last Friday-Sunday,collecting donations ranging from non-perishable food items to hygiene and cleaning products.

Grant Street Jazz Fest was kicked off by a parade late Saturday morning and continued on through the evening. Among the performers were the Postmodern Jazz Quartet, the Trio Collective and Mitch Shiner & the Bloomingtones Big Band.

Woman reports sexual assault outside strip club

The 22-year-old female victim reported a male forced her into his vehicle in the parkinig lot of Night Moves, 1730 S. Walnut St., and attempted to sexually assault her, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Joe Crider said.

IU freshman dies after fall

Rachael Fiege, age 19, was taken off of life support and pronounced dead Saturday morning at IU Health Bloomington Hospital after suffering injuries from a fall down a staircase Friday morning.
