Smith moves on from IU basketball

Smith spent more than two seasons on the IU men’s basketball team as a walk-on. A native of South Bend, Ind., Smith played basketball and ran track in high school. He received a few offers to play basketball collegiately, but none from any Division I schools.

Brooks collects Big Ten honors

IU freshman guard Larryn Brooks was named to the Second-Team All-Big Ten by both the Big Ten Coaches and the media as well as the Big Ten All-Freshman team by the coaches, the conference announced Monday.

Hoosiers outrebounded by Spartans in loss

IU was completely outmuscled in its 76-56 loss to No. 21 Michigan State. The Spartans outrebounded the Hoosiers 46-33, tied for the fifth-most rebounds by an IU opponent all season.

Men's tennis splits home matches

The No. 61 IU men’s tennis team missed another opportunity for a signature win Sunday with a 4-1 loss to No. 41 Dartmouth, but rebounded with a 7-0 victory against Illinois State.
