Team wins 9 of 15 events, but still ties with Michigan

The women's track and field team won nine of 15 events, but tied with Michigan 81-81 Saturday in Ann Arbor. The Hoosiers trailed the Wolverines 78-76 heading into the final event, the 4x400-meter relay. IU edged Michigan by one second to tally five points to the Wolverines' three.

Hoosiers take home victory, personal bests

Hannig drafted to league

The Detroit Rockers of the National Professional Soccer League drafted senior goalkeeper T.J. Hannig with its 38th pick in the annual amateur draft Wednesday. Hannig finished his final season with a 1.17 goals-against average and a .683 save percentage in 11 games.

Players to brave best of Big Ten

Team seeks redemption

A year ago, IU was embarrassed at Assembly Hall by then-No. 6 Penn State. The Hoosiers were outplayed in every facet of the game by the Big Ten's best team that season. In the 74-36 drubbing -- by far the worst performance of the year -- the Hoosiers shot an abysmal 21 percent from the floor and were outscored by 32 points in the second half.

Women rebound from loss

IU takes control

Hoosier lineup changes

Brad Lutsch, the hockey team's all-time leading scorer, made his return to the Frank Southern Center ice January 19, 1999, against Purdue University. In a Hollywood-style climax to his already incredible collegiate career, Lutsch netted a hat trick. Midway through the second period, hit a Purdue player so hard the helpless Boilermaker shattered the glass board and ended up in the second row of the bleachers.
