The following is a press release written by Desiree DeMolina for the City of Bloomington.
Those traveling through Bloomington should prepare for several full road closures during the second half of August, including at Second and Rogers streets, on South Rogers Street between Dodds and First streets, and on Third Street between College Avenue and Walnut Street.
The City is coordinating with contractors to reduce the duration of the closures and limit overlap where possible. Construction schedules remain fluid and may change due to weather, scheduling needs or other conditions discovered during the work. For the latest information on road, sidewalk, and parking restrictions, visit bloomington.in.gov/inroads.

The City recognizes that construction across Bloomington has affected daily travel throughout the summer, and these additional closures will require continued patience. Much of the work underway represents long-planned investments in safer streets, updated utilities and more reliable public infrastructure. City staff are coordinating closely with contractors to complete the work as efficiently as possible and minimize overlapping impacts.
