Lack of scoring sets school record

After suffering two tough losses on the road to start Big Ten play, the Hoosiers were looking to salvage the three-game road trip with a win over archrival Purdue. Instead, IU got their worst-scoring night in school history, losing to Purdue 51-31. The loss keeps them winless in conference play.

Energetic start marks 1st meet for No. 25 Hoosiers

The No. 25 women's swimming and diving program is off to a busy start this winter. In the first weekend of December the Hoosiers took on Big Ten rival Illinois in Champaign. IU pulled out a victory beating the Fighting Illini 155-145. Though the meet ended in close numbers, the Lady Hoosiers never lost their poise. The cream and crimson only lost the lead once when Illinois took all three top finishes in the 100-yard breaststroke.

No new scouting for 1st round games

St. Louis (8-8) at Seattle (9-7) 4:30 p.m. Saturday, ABC The Rams took both regular-season meetings, the first by coming from 17 points back in Seattle with 6 minutes left in the fourth quarter to win 33-27 in overtime, and the second game 23-12.

Veterans, freshmen team up for perfect blend of talent

The IU women's track and field team won't waste any time in 2005 as the team sprints into the beginning of the indoor season Saturday at home. The main mission this season is improvement. In 2004 the team finished fifth at the Big Ten Indoor Championships and seventh at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships.

Over the past couple weeks the Indiana Hoosiers women's basketball squad has amassed a 2-2 record, improving their overall record to 7-5. The Hoosiers' pushed their winning streak to four right before the new year before dropping two straight games to Big Ten opponents.

No. 13 IU makes winning look easy

Trying to right the ship

CARSON, Calif. -- Jay Nolly hasn't missed a single minute of a single game since October 2002. But in all that time, which encompassed a national championship, All-Big Ten selections and 30 shutouts, Nolly saved his best for last. With IU leading 3-2 on penalty kicks against the University of California-Santa Barbara and the national championship on the line, the senior goalkeeper dove to his left, blocking the final kick and sent IU to its second straight national championship.

Hoosiers rebound with sweep of East Coast foes

After a tough loss Monday night to Indiana State University 66-59, the Hoosiers hit the road this weekend to take on a pair of foes from the American East Conference -- the University of Maine and Boston University. IU (5-3) was victorious in both games 62-60 against Boston and 67-59 against Maine.
