Coming off of its best performance of the spring season, the IU women's golf team will compete in the Lady Buckeye Invitational this weekend on the Ohio State University Scarlet Golf Course in Columbus, Ohio. This will be the Hoosiers' final tune-up before the Big Ten Championships.\nThe Hoosiers finished 10th, their best performance of the spring, and matched their best performance of the year two weeks ago at the Indiana Invitational on the IU Golf Course.\nSix players will tee it up on Saturday for the Hoosiers, led by true freshman Elaine Harris, who recorded two-round total of 158 (81-77) on her way to a 16th place finish at the weather shortened Indiana Invitational, a career best.\nSenior Bethany Brunner, juniors Molly Redfearn and Katie Carlson and freshmen Stephanie Mayotte and Gennifer Marrs will join Harris in the field. Of the six golfers, the lowest four scores will count toward the total team score.\nIU will be part of a 14-team field that is highlighted by seven other Big Ten schools, the host Ohio State University and the University of Notre Dame. Rounding out the field are Kent State University, Eastern Michigan University, Ohio University, Western Michigan University and the University of Toledo.\nThe Lady Buckeye consists of three rounds of play. Two rounds will be played Saturday, and the tournament will conclude with the final 18 holes Sunday.
