Jags try to close gap on dominant Colts

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- When Jack Del Rio came to Jacksonville following the 2002 season, the Tennessee Titans were atop the AFC South Division and the Indianapolis Colts were trying to catch up. Now, the Colts have a stronghold on the top spot -- they've won three consecutive division titles -- and the Jaguars are trying to close the gap.

UPDATE: Athletics Department proposes $55M plan to upgrade facilities

IU Director of Athletics Rick Greenspan presented a $55 million "facility enhancement" plan to the IU board of trustees Wednesday afternoon. The plan includes four major projects that would upgrade athletics facilities, according to a news release from the IU Athletics Department.

NORMAN, Okla. -- A phone call from Oregon coach Mike Bellotti was nice, but it did absolutely nothing to soothe Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops over an incorrect officials' ruling that likely cost his team a victory over the Ducks.

IU's wide receivers struggled in last weekend's 35-28 loss to Southern Illinois University. The group dropped multiple passes as the sluggish IU offense struggled to maintain consistency throughout the game.

IU drops out of top 25 rankings

Call it a freefall. The IU men's soccer team plummeted from No. 9 to unranked in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America poll released Tuesday. The Hoosiers didn't receive a single vote in the poll.

Hoosiers place 6th in Gopher Invite

The Hoosiers hovered near the top of the leaderboard during the first two rounds of the Gopher Invitational in Wayzata, Minn., but a high score in Sunday's final round dropped them to a sixth-place finish.

IU's youngsters continue to impress and exceed expectations in their inaugural season. All three of the IU women's golf team's freshmen once again proved their worth by taking three out of IU's top four spots at this weekend's Lady Northern Tournament in East Lansing, Mich.

IU wins Indiana Intercollegiates race

For the past four years, the No. 29 IU women's cross country team has entered the Indiana Intercollegiates to run against the rest of the state of Indiana. After Friday's race, they've come out on top each time.

No. 14 Hoosiers extend win streak to 7

After her team's 3-0 victory against the University of Maine Sunday, after she gave her post-game speech to her team and after she received multiple congratulations from friends and families of the Hoosiers, IU coach Amy Robertson proudly summed up her team's play this weekend.
