Campus statues don afros for concert promotion

Beginning this morning, some iconic statues around campus will sport giant afros. Derrick Cowit, a Bloomington concert promoter who has been working on the Afrojack show, said the “Afrojack Afrohunt” will result in five sets of two tickets being given away for free. He said the afros will be hard to miss.

Indy man arrested at Target for trespass, indecency

Staff at the Target in College Mall called Bloomington police Sunday. The call came after a series of incidents the store’s security staff had been investigating since last year, Bloomington Police Department Sgt. Steve Kellams said.

Hoosier Hills receives 4,267 pounds of food at drive

As part of the Feeding America charity, Walmart and Hoosier Hills Food Bank partnered for a two-day food drive in which volunteers handed out lists of grocery items for customers to donate. Food donations were then stored in Wally and taken back to Hoosier Hills.

IU falls to pair of Michigan schools by identical scores

Much to the chagrin of the Hoosiers, a change of scenery in the form of a weekend excursion to Michigan provided no antidote for a recent run of setbacks, as No. 23 IU dropped 5-2 decisions to both Michigan State and Michigan.
