The No. 7 Hoosiers fell 2-1 Sunday to the No. 3 Wake Forest Demon Deacons at Bill Armstrong Stadium in the Adidas/IU Credit Union Classic’s final game.

The Crabb band was out, the white shirts were worn and the Hoosiers were left wanting more Friday as the IU men's soccer tied St. John’s at Jerry Yeagley Field after double overtime, leaving the match at a stalemate, 0-0.

Aleksey Korol, a former Big Ten Player of the Year in soccer, returned to his alma mater as an assistant coach in February, less than 10 years after winning his second NCAA championship.

Hoosiers rebound from preseason loss

After losing their first preseason game since 2004 on Thursday, the Hoosiers recovered by beating DePaul 3-0 on Saturday.

Hoosiers tie in 2 scoreless games

They looked like a splatter of ketchup with a small dab of mustard. A huddle of red jerseys, except for freshman goalkeeper Luis Soffner in yellow, gathered on the field before their second game of the night. Only 15 minutes divided Wednesday’s two matches for the IU men’s soccer team, which tied Cincinnati, 0-0, and returned to the field to tie IUPUI, also nil-nil.

IU prepares for first road match of spring season

The practice fields are barren. Nine players are gone. One assistant coach has been swapped for another. With three additions to the IU men’s soccer team, the Hoosiers are using the spring season to integrate a new starting lineup and a former player turned coach.
